The Look! Doris Dukes Day & Evening Wear

Learn how day and evening styles evolved from the 1930s to the 1980s through the personal clothing collection of Doris Duke, heiress and philanthropist. Known for her style and glamour, the willowy Doris Duke was a designer's dream. Sometimes she followed fashion dictates, other times she broke the rules, but she always had The Look. Admire couture from Yves St. Laurent, Chanel, Christian Dior and Halston, along with photos of Miss Duke wearing the outfits. Newport Gallery Night

Art exhibits of galleries include hand blown glass, wood block prints, award winning photography, international handcrafts and fine arts. Many of the galleries host opening receptions, introduce artists and new exhibits on Gallery Night. Friday Night Concert
Doors at 7pm. Music 7:30 - 9:30 pm. Featuring Providence String Quartet Tasting Room Providence String Quartet, quartet-in-residence for Community Music Works, will be our special guest for another intimate performance in our restored stable/Tasting Room.  The program will consist of music by Romantic Slavic composers Leos Janacek and Bedrich Smetana.
